Tiger’s Curse

Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck is sure to have you wishing for your own tiger and India adventure.  Kelsey is gearing up to embark on the next chapter in her life.  She figures she needs to get a summer job, earn some money, and head off to college.  So the first thing she does is head to a temp agency where she lands herself a two week job working for a traveling circus.  Things are going great, she has fallen in love with the white tiger and is already dreading his departure.  However things become really interesting when the circus sells the tiger Ren and his new owner asks Kelsey to travel with him to India and help him settle into his new home.  So begins Kelsey’s journey to breaking a century old curse and exploring a world she never knew existed.

This is a really fun romantic adventure story.  I instantly fell in love with Ren, both the guy and the tiger version.  Houck’s description of his tiger form was fabulous, I could feel his soft fur and hear his snorts.  Houck has done a great job of keeping romantic tension between Ren and Kelsey while still having a few sweet moments.  All and all, making you want to read faster to find out what will happen next between them.  I found the quest portions of the story to be exciting and suspenseful to read and I am looking forward to reading book two, Tiger’s Quest, to see where their adventure takes them next.  So far their destinations have been unexpected and intriguing.

Colleen Houck will be joining us at our booth during the Tucson Festival of Books on March 15th.  If  you would like to meet her and get a book signed, she will be at booth 130-131 & 134-135 from 2:00 – 2:45 PM.
