Born at Midnight

Looking for a fun new YA paranormal series?  Then be sure to read C. C. Hunter’s  Shadow Falls series.  This series is filled with vampires, werewolves, fairies, witches, and love triangles – everything you want in a good paranormal coming of age series.  Born at Midnight is the fist book in the series.  Kylie’s life is falling apart.  Her parents are suddenly getting a divorce, her boyfriend dumped her, and now she is being shipped off to a juvenile camp for “troubled teens”.  Although the camp is not what Kylie expects.  In fact the “troubled teens” are actually supernatural beings who are learning to control their powers and live in the normal world.  However, Kylie still doesn’t understand why she is there.  So she sees one  ghost, that doesn’t mean she isn’t human, does it?

This is a great beginning to a new series.  Kylie struggles with her new life and tends to focus on the negative, but her crisis is believable.  How could you not freak out a little bit when you find out that you’re not human and no one knows what species you are.  I really like the camp and all the different people who are their.  I think everyone is going to grow into great characters and I am anxious to see where the story goes.  I am really excited to follow Kylie’s journey now that she is ready to move forward with her new destiny.

C.C. Hunter will be visiting our store on January 23rd at 7 PM.  Everyone is welcome to meet the author and get an autographed book.
